Hi Washington DC!

For the Fulbright FLTA Summer Orientation, I spent 4 days in Washington DC. It is a very well-organized, beautiful, clean, secure and calm city. We had something to ear and drink on the 14th Street and in its most famous part, Adams Morgan. These two places are really alive and diverse. We bad a tour of Washington Monuments including the Washington Monument, Reflecting Pool, Lincoln Monument, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and The Capitol. We have also seen the White House from afar.

Its most amazing place for me is Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum where you will find 1903 Wright Flyer, Lindbergh’s so-called “Spirit of St. Louis,” the Apollo 11 Command Module Columbia, Amelia Earhart’s bright red Lockheed 5B Vega and a lunar rock that can be touched by visitors. This museum also features an IMAX Theater, a planetarium and public observatory so you can be a daytime astronomer. – See more at: http://washington.org/DC-guide-to/smithsonian-national-air-and-space-museum#sthash.iCpHxXYw.dpuf

 Sozun Ozu:

Washington DCFulbright FLTA oryantasyonu icin gidip 4 gunlugune gezme sansi yakaladigim Amerika’daki ilk sehir oldu. DC anitlariyla meshur bir sehir: Washington Monument, Reflecting Pool, Lincoln Monument, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Vietnam Veterans Memorial, and The Capitol baslicalari. White House’u da bahcesinin disindan gorebiliyorsunuz.

Bence en guzel yeri Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Muzesi. Müzede, Ay’a ilk adım atan Apollo 11’in kumanda modülü ve Apollo programıyla ilgili pek çok ekipmanla belge yer alıyor.
